Description
A watercolour print illustrating the small Northumberland hamlet of Snods Edge in Autumn. Snods Edge is situated near the village of Shotley Bridge and only four miles from the Town of Consett. It is locally referred to as ‘Snows – Edge’ due to the close proximity of the North Pennines. The Snods is a peaceful and sleepy hamlet with a vicarage and Church Hall. The hall hosts a popular art exhibition every year. In the past, the event has attracted local artists namely Philip Oliver, Alex Clark and Sheila Mackey. The venue is also popular for Sunday teas and local events.
Woodland surrounds the Snods offering opportunities to see nature and wildlife. This image was inspired by a woodland walk to the area during one Autumn. The scene captures a pair of Pheasants hunting for food inside their woodland habitat.
A high quality giclee print. Signed and numbered by the artist. Strictly limited to only 100 ever produced.
